Strong relationships with contacts are built over time as a best practice, but we get it: sometimes your organizers are simply not available. This guide will explain how to reassign contacts in a Hustle group. You will need organization or group level access to perform these actions.
1) Go to the Organizers or Agents tab and click on the "Actions" button for the organizer whose contact's you wish to reassign.
2) In the reassignment window, you will then be given options on to whom you wish to reassign the contacts. You can reassign to one or several specific agents in the group, or you can randomly reassign amongst all agents. Make a selection then click on the "Assign Contacts" button.
Note: you will also be prompted to reassign an organizer's contacts before you remove an agent from a group.
3) Use CSVs to assign (or reassign) specific contacts to specific agents: Reassignments blend newly reassigned contacts with an existing agent's preexisting contacts. If you intend to return contacts to the original organizer later on, (or otherwise make specific assignment choices) you may upload a CSV with the existing contacts that you want to assign to specific agents by including Agent First, Agent Last, Agent Phone in the CSV and use upload contacts to 'force' the reassign. (Just make sure you have those contacts in a CSV that you export or have somewhere else before more temporary redistributing.)
4) You can otionally remove an agent once you have reassigned all their contacts away. This is great for keeping your groups up to date with current organizers.
Best Practice Tip 💡: Check out managing contact expectations in this guide here!
NOTE: If you use first come-first served goal methods, these contacts will still be included if targeted without needing to be assigned. But if you use assigned goals, be sure those contacts are assigned so they are messaged!
