End users who receive text messages from your organization have the ability to opt themselves out to maintain their privacy. They can do this by replying with a few keywords which'll automatically opt the contact out based on mobile phone carriers. This is especially important for Admins of Hustle to make sure that none of these words are included in scripts to ensure that your message makes it to your end users!
Opt-out keywords
In order to activate an opt out keyword, the person receiving the text message simply needs to reply with any of the following words:
- Opt-out and Opt out
- Stop
- Quit
- Unsubscribe
- End
- Cancel
NOTE: None of these opt out keywords are case-sensitive.
When a lead replies with one of the opt-out keywords, they'll receive a text message confirming they've opted out of receiving messages.
Agents will receive a push notification on their phone letting them know that the contact has been automatically opted out. They don't need to take any further action.
The thread with the contact will no longer appear in the agents’ conversations tab following a refresh since they can't respond.
NOTE: Once the end user sends one of the opt-out triggers they receive a confirmation text letting them know that they have been opted out. Once the trigger has been activated the end user will no longer receive any text messages from Hustle.
Contacts can reply Start to the same thread if they want to opt back into receiving messages.
