What are the different TCR campaigns?
There are two types of campaigns available that use trust scores in different ways:
- Standard Campaigns: Standard campaigns are pre-approved by carriers so there are no delays in registration for brands that qualify. Qualification for standard campaigns is determined by the brand’s tax status (e.g. 501(c) designation, “For Profit”, Governments et al.). The throughput available via standard campaigns is heavily influenced by the TCR Score of the brand. The higher the TCR Score, the more messages brands can send over a given period of time.
-
Special Campaigns: For Special Campaigns, AT&T ignores the trust score while T-Mobile does not for most use cases. Availability is determined by the brand’s tax status (e.g. 501(c) designation, 527, “For Profit” et al.)
Standard Campaigns
- 2FA: Any authentication or account verification such as OTP
- Account Notification: Notifications about the status of an account or related to being a part of an account
- Customer Care: Support, account management, and other avenues of customer interaction
- Delivery Notification: Information about the status of a delivery
- Fraud Alert Messaging: Messaging about potentially fraudulent activity such as spending alerts
- Higher Education: Message campaigns from colleges, universities, and other education institutions
- Polling & Voting: For conducting polling and voting, such as customer surveys. Not for political use.
- Public Service Announcement: PSAs to raise audience awareness about a given topic
- Security Alert: Notification of a compromised system (software or hardware related)
- Low Volume Mixed*: Messaging that may have multiple use cases but only needs very low messaging throughput (ex: test or demo accounts, small businesses).
- Marketing: Communications that include marketing or promotional content (ex: sale notifications, discount codes, etc).
-
Mixed*: Any messaging campaign containing 2 to 5 standard use cases.
*Contains Sub Use-Cases
Note: At this time, if you plan on registering a Standard Campaign to use with your brand, we highly recommend choosing the Mixed campaign. With the Mixed campaign, brands will need to select at least two and up to five sub use cases, which reflect the other standard campaigns. This way, Mixed campaigns operate like five campaigns in one.
Special Campaigns
- Agents & Franchises**: Brands that have multiple agents, franchises or offices in the same brand vertical, but require individual localized numbers per agent/location/office. Common examples include insurance & real estate agencies.
- Charity*: Communications from a registered Charity / 501(c)(3) Nonprofit aimed at providing help and raising money for those in need. Limited to 501(c)(3) nonprofits.
- Proxy* **: Peer-to-peer app-based group messaging with proxy/pooled numbers. Supporting personalized services and non-exposure of personal numbers for enterprise or A2P communications. Examples include companies like Uber, Lyft, Airbnb, Door Dash et al.
- Emergency**: Notification services designed to support public safety/health during natural disasters, armed conflicts, pandemics, and other national or regional emergencies. This use case is only approved for government entities and organizations that contract with a city, county, state or federal government. (e.g. Hospital Dispatch, 911 service, et al.)
- K-12 Education**: Campaigns created for messaging platforms that support virtual learning and communication between students, teachers, and parents from grades K-12 and distance learning centers. This is not for Post-Secondary schools.
- Political* **: Part of an organized effort to influence decision-making of a specific group.
- Social**: Communication within or between closed communities. Examples include social media influencers & content creators messaging their followers.
- Sole Proprietor: An unincorporated business owned by an individual. Note: Registering as a Sole Proprietor is not currently supported within Hustle's Admin panel.
- Sweepstake**: All sweepstakes messaging
*Contains Sub Use-Cases
**Requires an additional 3-5 days for carrier approval
At this time we generally do not recommend admins register campaigns using the Agents & Franchises, Proxy or Social special use case campaigns. In addition to unknown wait times for carrier approval, these campaigns were designed for very specific types of customers as shared in the examples above. If your brand does not look like one of the examples shared above, it is likely your campaign will be rejected by carriers after a lengthy delay.

Without Campaign Verify Token
If TCR is able to verify the identity of the brand being registered, the following TCR Campaigns may be available for brands without a Campaign Verify Token.
Note: TCR and its vetting partners do not have the tools to consistently identify 527s and FEC registered committees. Without verification from TCR and its vetting partners, brands will not be able to register TCR campaigns or send messages on 10DLC. A Campaign Verify token is highly recommended for 527s and FEC registered committees which helps TCR identify the brand. Once verified, these brands can register for the Political special use case campaign.
