Messages sent from Hustle groups or inboxes with a TCR campaign applied will send using 10DLC routes, the sanctioned path for messaging by U.S. based telephone carriers and their partners. This step is required by carriers and messages cannot be sent otherwise.
We strongly recommend applying a TCR campaign to your group or inbox immediately after you've selected a phone number, as the campaign processing can take up to three hours to complete. For more info see: What if my campaign is Processing?

How do I apply a TCR campaign to a Hustle group?
To apply a TCR campaign to a Hustle group:
- Log in to the Hustle Admin Panel and open the organization the group is in. (For info on How To Create A Group please see What can organization admins do?)
-
Click Groups and click on the name of the group you want to apply a TCR campaign to.
- Click Group Settings > TCR.
- Click the dropdown menu under TCR Campaign.
- Only Approved campaigns will be available for selection. Choose the TCR campaign that best describes the messages that the group will send > Save.
After applying the TCR campaign, you will see a banner that the TCR campaign is processing. This process can take between 10 minutes and three hours due to carrier approvals.
When complete, the processing banner will disappear from the group. Refresh your group for updates, and contact support@hustle.com if the campaign processing is not complete within three hours.
Important Update: Carriers no longer support messaging in groups or inboxes before the TCR campaign has finished processing. Admins will need to wait until processing is complete to launch goals. When complete, the processing banner will disappear from the group. 🚨 We recommend you do not remove / reapply the campaign while it is processing, as this will increase the wait time 🚨
The group will now appear, with the TCR campaign applied, on the Manage Groups page:
- Group name: Name of the group
- Date created: The date the group was created
- TCR Brand: The TCR brand the group is using
- TCR Campaign: The TCR campaign the group is using
-
Show in menu: If the box is checked, the group’s name will appear in the quick menu when hovering your mouse over Groups on the left.
How do I remove TCR campaigns from groups?
To remove a TCR campaign from a group:

- Click Groups and click on the name of the group you want to remove a TCR campaign from.
- Click Group Settings > TCR.

The group will appear without a TCR campaign on the Manage Groups page:
Note: Archiving a group also removes the applied TCR campaign. For information on how to archive groups, see How do I archive a group?

Why can't I apply a TCR campaign?
Only Approved campaigns can be applied to groups. If you see a Pending, Rejected, or Expired status please proceed to the section below. Otherwise, with an approved campaign, there are a few reasons why admins might not be able to apply a TCR campaign to a group:
- The admin is a group admin: Group Admins do not have permission to apply, remove or otherwise edit TCR Campaigns on groups they have access to.
- The TCR campaign has reached its phone limit: TCR Campaigns can only be associated with up to 49 phone numbers to send messages from. For more information, see How do I manage phone numbers with 10DLC?
- The campaign is not yet approved: The campaign is still being reviewed by the TCR and Vetting partners. If registration has been pending for more than 5 business days, contact support at support@hustle.com.
-
Only Specific organizations have access: The account's settings are configured so only specified organizations have access to TCR campaigns created at the account level. Account admins can:
- Grant the individual organization access to account-level brands. For more information, see Who can register for 10DLC with Hustle?
- Check All organizations so every organization in the account has access to TCR campaigns created by account admins at the account-level.
What if I see a message that the TCR Campaign Processing has Failed?
If your group or inbox shows a banner message that the TCR processing has failed, this indicates there was a problem trying to associate your TCR campaign with the group or inbox.
Usually this is caused by nearing or exceeding the 49 group/inbox limit for one TCR campaign. To see if a campaign is close to the limit, go to the Settings tab of the organization menu > Compliance tab or to Account Overview > Compliance > TCR, then refer to the Assigned Phone Numbers column next to the campaign. If a campaign is at or close to 49, we recommend removing it from any groups or inboxes you are not currently using for messaging.
Once you've removed the campaign from groups / inboxes, wait several minutes for the campaign dissociation to complete.
🚨 Important note: Even if this number is under the 49 limit, if you have made too many requests to associate the campaign to new groups/inboxes, this could be causing failures. We advise keeping this number as low as possible to avoid issues. ✨
If you've confirmed the TCR campaign is not hitting this limit, for Failed groups an org or account admin can remove then re-apply the TCR campaign. Skip to How do I remove TCR campaigns from groups? for a step-by-step.
After removing the campaign, admins can select the campaign again > Save. After reapplying, the processing banner will gain appear on the group, and the association should complete within normal timelines, generally several hours at most. If you encounter any further issues, reach out to support@hustle.com for help!
Can group admins apply campaigns?
Group Admins do not have permission to apply, remove or otherwise edit TCR Campaigns on groups they have access to. If you believe you would benefit from this feature please email product@hustle.com.
What if my campaign is Processing?
After applying the TCR campaign, you will see a banner that the TCR campaign is processing. This is expected and the process can take between 10 minutes and three hours due to carrier approvals.
🚨 We recommend you do not remove / reapply the campaign while it is processing, as this will increase the wait time 🚨
What if my campaign is Pending?
As of January 2023, all newly registered TCR campaigns will be subject to manual review by the downstream Direct Connect Aggregator (DCA) and will be placed in Pending status until this review is completed. The Pending status will show on the TCR Compliance page, and will change to Approved once the review is complete.
Campaigns pending approval will not be available to apply to groups or to the Broadcast inbox until they are approved. If your campaign has been pending for more than 5 business days, reach out to support@hustle.com.
What if my campaign is Expired?
If your Campaign is Expired, this indicates that the Brand is using an expired Campaign Verify token. After getting a new Campaign Verify token, the Brand in Hustle will need to be edited and updated with the new token. Then, admins can recreate expired campaigns right from the Compliance page by clicking the Recreate button next to the campaign 🙌
After recreating campaigns, any expired campaigns can be deleted.
What if my campaign is Rejected?
If your Campaign is in Rejected status, this means there was something wrong with your campaign submission and it will not be available to use for messaging. Please reach out to support@hustle.com for help and see What if my TCR Campaign is Rejected? for more information.
Note: This manual review process will increase the time it takes for campaigns to be ready to send messages on the 10DLC routes, so please plan accordingly and register for 10DLC as early as possible. We expect campaigns to be approved within 5 business days, but approval could take longer. Please follow our guidelines in How do I register for 10DLC with Hustle to avoid delays in registration. If your TCR campaign is not approved after one week, please contact support@hustle.com for help.
