Message caps do not relate to contracts or contract balances, but they are a tool that allows account admins to limit how many SMS / MMS messages or Dialer calls a particular organization is allotted in Hustle. This article details how to enable message and call caps for organizations, manage them, and what to do if an organization runs out of messages.

To enable message caps for your account, reach out to your CSM for help! If you don't know who that is, you can email support@hustle.com.
One message caps are enabled, account admins will need to enable caps and set the message allowance for each organization. To do so, from the Organizations tab of the Account Overview, click on the '...' More options next to an organization and select options next to an organization and select Enable message cap.
Important Note: If you enable a message cap for an organization but do not add a message balance, that organization will not be able to send any messages (or make calls if applicable) until a balance is added by an account admin.
How do I add or subtract messages and calls for capped organizations?
To allocate messages or calls for a capped organization, click the three dots again to select Change Message & Call Balances.
In the modal, you'll see options to add a balance for SMS messages, and if enabled, MMS messages, and Dialer calls. The balance you add will be the total messages or calls that organization is allowed to send or make with Hustle. Click on Update Balance to set the desired caps.
This modal will also display a record of recent balances added or subtracted under 'Recent Balance Changes':
What happens if an organization exceeds their cap?
If a message or call cap is exceeded, agents will no longer be able to send messages or make calls via the Hustle web or mobile apps. Organization admins will see a banner when they are approaching the cap, indicating they should contact their account admin to add more messages or calls to their balance. Only account admins will be able to add more messages or calls for an organization from Account Overview.
How do I disable message caps?
Once enabled, message caps cannot be disabled for an organization. We recommend adding very large cap(s) for an organization so that they won't be at risk of running out of messages / calls.
