What is an RCS sender?
RCS (short for Rich Communication Services) is the carrier-standard upgrade to SMS. It allows organizations to send branded messages to a phone’s built-in messaging app with a verified sender name and logo, plus upgraded media-sharing capabilities. Because recipients see a verified brand, carriers vet the brand, use case and opt-in process before an RCS sender can go live.
An RCS sender refers to your organization’s verified profile in RCS, with your org name, logo, and contact info, so recipients see who’s texting them instead of just a phone number. With RCS in Hustle, your organization can send branded messages to increase trust, higher quality image/video content, and see open rates/read receipts.

How do I register for RCS?
Note: Important timing note: once we have submitted all the registration info with carriers, the approval process for RCS can take 2-3 months.
If your organization is interested in using RCS with Hustle, please reach out to your CSM or support@hustle.com to start the process.
To register a new RCS Sender, Hustle support will need to collect the following:
- Six-digit hex color used to accent your sender. For accessibility, this color must meet a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against white.
- Logo. Please send a square logo image in JPEG or PNG format (224 x 224 pixels, max 50KB) that represents your sender.
- Banner. Please send a banner image in JPEG or PNG format (1440 x 448 pixels, max 200KB) shown when users view your sender information.
- Privacy policy and terms of service URL's (both should be accessible from the website).
- One sample text message for each type of message you plan to send with RCS (for example: organization updates, donation requests, event invites).
- Anticipated total messages per month over RCS (this can be a ballpark figure).
- Short description of the purpose of the RCS sender. Please clearly note if you will be doing any marketing or fundraising / donation requests with the sender, as this info must be included in the registration.
- Customer care phone number (will be visible in the RCS sender).
- Customer care email (will be visible in the RCS sender).
How can I use RCS with Hustle?
An RCS sender can be applied to one inbox in Hustle to launch broadcast, dialer, and P2P goals.
RCS with Hustle allows your organization to send branded messages to increase trust, share higher quality image/video content, and see open rates/read receipts.
Note: If a recipient does not have RCS enabled on their device, RCS messages will fallback to SMS, so messages will still be delivered.
